Local 276 Community Service Committee Supporting Local Schools

Local 276 Community Service Committee went to David Daniel's Elementary Academy of Math and Science to deliver the school supplies we collect from our Local 276 Back to School Supply Drive.  In attendance was Mary Smith (principal), Candice McCartney (Assistant principal), and Beatriz Flores (Administrative Intern). The school was shocked and appreciative of all the supplies. “They kept saying thank you so much, this is so much stuff,” states Local 276 member Elonda Clark. “They were so glad of all the sharpened pencils because they have testing coming up and would have struggled to help prepare the students for the tests and made sure all students had sharpened pencils and erasers. It felt so good to be able to be in a position to help take some stress off the students, their parents, and the teaching staff. Putting a smile on others faces never gets old, we all left there feeling so good, honored to help and appreciated.

Local 276 members Jackie Fisher, James Jones, Kim Daniels, and Elonda Clark join David Daniel Elementary Academy of Math and Science officials Principal Mary Smith, Assistant Principal Candice McCartney and Administrative Intern Beatriz Flores in unloading school supplies from Local 276 members.
